Fiber Optic Pigtails LC and SC

Fiber optic pigtails are essential components in fiber optic networks, designed to terminate fibers and create reliable connections between cables and optical devices.

They consist of short lengths of fiber optic cable with a pre-terminated optical connector on one end and a bare fiber on the other end, intended to be spliced to the main cable by fusion splicing or mechanical splicing.

Unlike patch cords, which have connectors on both ends, pigtails are mainly used to terminate cables inside rack cabinets, fiber enclosures, ODFs or patch panels, simplifying installation and improving connection reliability.
